Tomás Neiva started his career in the financial market, as a lawyer for investment banks. From 2006 to 2010, he worked in Garrigues (Madrid) as part of the structured finance team, where he was involved in some of the main project finance transactions in the Spanish market. Since his return to Brazil in 2011, he has been providing extensive advisory services to foreign companies in various industries for their investment projects in Brazil, including structured finance, M&As, venture capital, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, and energy and infrastructure projects. For many years, he acted as a visiting professor for the Project Finance module of the UAH / CIFF Master’s degree in Business Law, being a frequent speaker on this subject. Currently, he is professor of corporate law in the course Law in Startups, promoted by Insper.

Academic background
Tomás graduated in law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), and holds a postgraduate degree in Business Law from the University of Alcalá de Henares – UAH and from the Centro Internacional de Formación Financiera – CIFF (Spain). He also holds a specialised degree in Corporate and Stock Market Law from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro.
